Dutch fashion label, Mud Jeans, has launched its Lease a Jeans brand. The jeans are crafted of organic and recycled cotton and are 100% responsibly produced.
How it works: The jeans returned by the lessee are sent back to the manufacturer to rack up a new set of jeans. A lease contract is provided to the customers, which enables them to lease the jeans for a fee for a year. Then, the customers can make a choice to either return the jeans, trade them for a newer pair or keep them longer to get discounts on their next purchase at the time of return.
