The Skoll Foundation, in partnership with the Huffington Post, kicks off the Social Entrepreneurs Challenge, a fundraising event for organizations endeavoring to fix the most critical problems of society.
The crowdfunding platform CrowdRise will host the challenge and will award $250,000 through daily and weekly challenges, with $50,000 going to the most successful campaign. Social entrepreneur participants are battling human trafficking, empowering marginalized populations, advancing education in developing countries and addressing other pressing social needs around the world. The challenge will run until November 22.
