Meredith Ramirez Talusan, social entrepreneur and co-founder of the Ricefield Collective, gained 15 lessons from her experiences running Kickstarter project devoted to earning supplemental income for women farmers in the Philippines.
The Ricefield Collective helps women farmers craft and distribute beautiful handmade knit goods from sustainable-sourced organic wool. Talusan is currently on leave from the comparative literature program at Cornell, after getting a visual art MFA from the California College of the Arts.
