Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has launched a series of noteworthy research projects to learn if social enterprises can help Scotland lose its “sick man of Europe” label and boost the nation’s overall health.
The research program intends to examine social enterprises as creator of health, not just those who act as providers of health services. The program doesn’t advocate social enterprises to replace NHS and other public health activities, rather these organizations will be recognized as an “important supplement to such activities”.
