Hikurangi, a registered charity founded in 2008 and has since morphed into a social enterprise incubator, has bagged a $1.27 million to fund main programs: countrywide workshops and clinics, advisory services, incubation, and a social enterprise accelerator pilot.
These four programs aim to provide the necessary hands-on support, seed funding, professional expertise, and networks needed by social enterprises. Furthermore, Hikurangi will run a six-month accelerator program, and invites and encourages social enterprise to participate and win a spot in the program. Hikurangi is named after Mount Hikurangi in New Zealand.
