Helen Telford, at 32, is a Human Resource professional who dabbled into entrepreneurship. Her baby, a dance studio, is transforming into a social enterprise to reach a wider customer base.
She set up Move It Studios, a dance, performance and fitness studio situated in Wallsend town centre to benefit community residents. In turning to Tony Clark at The Business Factory at North Tyneside Council for help in developing her business, Helen claimed, “Far from creating a traditional exclusive dance studio, I wanted to make the studio a real community resource that people can access regardless of circumstance or ability.”
