New York City-based Corbin Hill Farm is a social enterprise that serves to address the lack of availability of fresh foods for low-income communities like the South Bronx and Harlem.
In response to corporate farming and expensive foodstuffs in supermarkets, Corbin Hill Farm created a food project that serves as a “community-supported agriculture”, but in a way that addresses food justice and food security. Its hub of operations is in Corbin Hill Road Farm, which is headquartered in Schoharie County. From there, the fresh produce is packed and delivered to NYC neighborhoods that have limited access to fresh food.
