Ashoka, a global platform for social innovation, introduced the Arab World Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ASEP) to support local social entrepreneurs in scaling up their operations in three key areas – healthcare, environment and women participation for inclusive growth.
According to Badr Jafar, CEO of Crescent Enterprises and managing director of the Crescent Group, who spearheaded the partnership with Ashoka, ASEP’s launch will propel social entrepreneurship in the Gulf by building a community of the region’s business entrepreneurs as supporters and connecting them to Ashoka’s global network.
