Earlier in May, the Malaysian Global Innovations & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) kicked off their very first IDEA Accelerator. The IDEA Accelerator (short for Impact-Driven Enterprise Accreditation) was designed specially to help early-stage impact-driven and social enterprises by giving them opportunities to test out their ideas, business models, and secure funds through innovative strategies.
The accelerator saw 29 startups participate in a six week programme that focused on five key impact themes: employment for the marginalised community, equality and empowerment, pollution and waste management, income/productivity growth, and community development.
